1.  Retreat Program:
 A brief overview:

  • Monday 20 November
    • Arrival of delegates for ECR, eLAMP and CAASTRO-CoEPP workshops
    • eLAMP Workshop - venue to be confirmed
  • Tuesday 21 November
  •  Wednesday 22 November:
  • Buses depart airport
  • Arrival at Retreat Venue and Registration Commences
  • 11:30am -  6:00pm Science Program
  • 6:30pm Dinner
  • Thursday 23 November:
  • 8:30am – 3:00pm Science Program
  • 3:30 – 6:00pm CAASTRO Special Activity
  • Friday 24 November:
  • 8:45am – 3:00pmpm Science Program
  • from 3:00pm Buses Depart to airport
  • from 5:30pm Flights depart

2.  Accommodation: 
There has been a group reservation made at for all CAASTRO members.  Thus, there is no need for delegates to book accommodation.  Rooms will be allocated once registration closes.  Accommodation payments will come out of your node budget and will be arranged via your node.

3.  Meals: 
All meals are covered by CAASTRO.  If you have any dietary requirements, please ensure you make a note of these when you register for the retreat under the dietary information field on the registration form.

4.Getting There:

  • FLIGHTS: A schedule of preferred flights is now available here:
  •  CAASTRO members should book their own travel in accordance with their administrating institutions policies.  Please contact your node administrator for more details.
  • BUS TRANSFERS:
    • eLAMP - details still to be confirmed
    • ECR/CAASTRO-CoEPP Delegates
      Shuttle buses will be departing Adelaide Airport and Adelaide City (location to be advised).  A bus will depart on Monday evening for all members attending.

    • Annual Retreat - those members attending only the Annual Retreat from Wednesday 22 November
      Shuttle buses will be departing Adelaide Airport only.  There will be the following buses:
      • Perth delegates: A bus will depart Tuesday afternoon at approximately 3:30pm
      • Sydney and Canberra delegates: A bus will depart Wednesday morning at approximately 8:45am
      • Brisbane and Melbourne delegates: A bus will depart Wednesday morning at approximately 9:30am

  • WHAT TO DO IF YOU MISS YOUR FLIGHT, GET LOST OR MISS THE BUS? Don’t panic!  In the first instance please contact the A-team member who is coordinating your transfer.  They will assist you if they can by providing directions or alternatives.  If you are unable to contact them please contact Kylie Williams (0412 037 492) or Kate Gunn (0411 466 080).  They will provide you with additional information and assist you where they can

5.  Childcare: 
Childcare will be available at the Retreat for infants and children under 5.  Please indicate in your registration if you require childcare or contact Kylie Williams if you have any questions.

6.  WiFi: 
Wireless access will be available in the conference rooms each day.  However, please bring your own wireless access devices if you have critical work you will need to access or large amounts of data to download.

ECR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP

ECR Program
9:00 to 12:30  Building Your Personal Resilience/Managing Stress in the Workplace
: This program includes identifying practical approaches to applying and practicing resilience strategies and how to develop your awareness of stress, to use its helpful aspect, and to prevent or reduce its harmful aspect. The training will  develop an individual action plan for building personal resilience improve confidence and the ability to act effectively.
 
12:30 to 1:30 LUNCH
 
13:30 to 17:00 The Perfect Pitch:  The program will include a the 5 step model for pitching any idea, where logic is balanced with emotions. It will explore how to structure ideas and information to increase clarity and persuasiveness. It will also give an understanding how to address your audience and to effectively respond to questions.
 
Training is being provided by professional trainers from the University of Adelaide who have extensive background in their field of expertise.
 
We will offer an optional Yoga class in the morning at 7:15am and an engaging activity for the evening.
