EoR Workshop Program for 19- 21 Nov 2012
- NEW: view presentation slides here -

Location: Sydney, Australia.
Directions from Redfern Train Station:
Exit via platform ten, follow the platform until you reach the stairs, at the top of the stairs turn left and then right into Rosehill Street.
Overview of the workshop content:
A detection of the global signal from the Epoch of Reionisation (EoR) is
likely to place the next limits on the reinonisation history of the
universe. There are currently several experiments aimed at detecting the
global EoR signal that are either underway or about to be deployed.

Towards the end of 2012 each of these experiments will be well-advanced
and likely have collected significant data. This will
be the ideal time to take stock of the current status of the field by
comparing results and sharing lessons learned from all of these
experiments. In addition, progress on global signature experiments have
clear implications for interferometric experiments focused on detecting
the EoR power spectrum.

Topics to be discussed:

- Global signal theory
- Global signal experiments: the state of the art
- Foregrounds
- RFI impact & mitigation
- Ionospheric effects
- Precision radiometer systems
- Antennas and receivers
