Slow Transients

This project focuses on designing and conducting new all-sky surveys for variable and transient radio sources. These searches will provide unprecedented capacity to detect, study and monitor radio sources on time scales of seconds to decades ("slow transients"), providing new information on many poorly understood phenomena. The main focuses will be the Variable and Slow Transients (VAST) survey on ASKAP, wide-field imaging with the MWA, and searches for variability with the Square Kilometre Array Molonglo Prototype (SKAMP).
